Job Description
The FISMA Analyst is responsible for supporting the client’s FISMA
operations and activities for the purpose of achieving the
organization’s goal of FISMA compliant. In addition, the FISMA Analyst
is responsible for identifying changing FISMA requirements and proposing
courses of action so the organization can meet the requirement(s). One
of the main FISMA Analyst tasks is to regularly review Certification and
Accreditation (C&A) packages to ensure compliance.

Required Skills
-
Ability to work in
independent environments under aggressive
timelines
-
Familiarity with DHS
Trusted Agent FISMA (TAF) and Risk
Management System (RMS) tools used daily by
FISMA analysts
-
Proficient with MS
Office, to include extreme competency with
Excel. TAF reports are produced via Excel
spreadsheets and the analyst is required to
manipulate thousands of lines of data into
management-style information
-
Proficient in developing
and presenting, both verbally and in
writing, highly technical information and
presentations to non-technical audiences
-
Working knowledge of the
NIST 800 series publications governing the
FISMA Act.

Working knowledge of the
NIST 800 series publications to include, but
not limited to: 800-30, 800-37, 800-53, and
800-53a
-
Familiarity with
Certification and Accreditation
documentation/packages
-
Familiarity with
vulnerability management {Plan of Action and
Milestones (POA&M)} from creation to
closure
Required Experience
-
3 years of demonstrated
work experience related to FISMA
-
1 – 2 years of
experience using Crystal Reports
-
1 – 2 years of
experience using TAF and RMS
-
DHS experience preferred
Certifications
CISA, CISM, CISSP, Certification and
Accreditation Professional (CAP) preferred
Clearance
Must have an active Secret Clearance
