Command, Control, Communications, Computers,
Intelligence, Surveillance Reconnaissance (C4ISR)
DRC assists defense organizations in
procuring and fielding the C4ISR systems that provide vital
situational information to the commander and soldier on the
ground. DRC has been supporting C4ISR
systems for more than 20 years, providing a full spectrum of
engineering and management services. Examples of our past
performance include:
-
Battle Management Weapon Systems
- DRC provides technical management support and
acquisition management services for the E-8 JSTARS, E-10
Multi-Sensor Command and Control Aircraft System (MC2A)
and mission planning groups. Areas of support included requirements
analysis, functional decomposition, system/subsystem
synthesis, analysis and control, technology planning and
transition support, airframe militarization, Battle
Management Command Control (BMC2)
integration, counter IED exploitation, radar
improvements, sustainment engineering, enterprise
integration, communications migration to Joint Tactical
Radio System (JTRS, software
engineering, security engineering, configuration
management, logistics engineering, and system
verification.
-
Network Centric Operations -
DRC coordinates and manages tactical data link (TDL)
networks, training, software, and hardware requirements,
and provides data link logistics, training, and network
planning. Our support covers data link issues for all mission
areas in coordination with the Air Force Network Design
Facility, Joint Network Design Library, other services,
and MAJCOM training and operations offices. DRC is the
Air Force Command and Control, Intelligence,
Surveillance, and Reconnaissance Center (AFC2ISRC) subject matter expert on Situational Awareness
Data Link (SADL) and has been a major contributor to
program accomplishment leading to continuation of the
A/OA-10 Precision Engagement program and upgrading of
communication capabilities to JTRS and the platform.
-
Operations Support Systems -
DRC plans, implements, and evaluates all operational and
logistics capabilities for present and future combat
forces requirements including all Agile Combat Support
(ACS) and Air Force Forces (AFFOR) Aerospace Applications and Support
requirements into the GCCS-AF.
-
Space Sensor Systems, Missile
Warning and Defense Sensors, Air Operations Center (AOC) Systems, and Global C2
Systems - DRC performs test
management, test manager training, configuration
management/control, system safety, Operational Risk
Management (ORM), logistics, Operational Safety,
Suitability and Effectiveness (OSS&E), training
coordination, financial management, acquisition support,
and systems engineering services. We support all 26
Combatant Commanders' Command and Control Systems Group
programs, including worldwide
missile warning and defense and space control sensor
systems.
-
CAF C2/BMC3 - DRC provided
the CAF C2 SPO with acquisition, training, and business management services.
As lead integrator, we executed a total of 26 C4ISR
program and enterprise tasks, and we implemented management
innovations that reduced the CAF C2 SPO operating costs
and overhead by 22%. Our contributions helped the
program receive the ESC's Albert J. Shiely award for program
management.
-
Program/Project Engineering - Our certified Microsoft Project schedulers
build and maintain schedules to interface between labor
accounting system, electronic Management Tracking System
(eMTS) to provide earned value metrics for all
programs. We assist programs in defining and
collecting software measurements/metrics and
implementing standard reporting of performance data.
-
Systems Engineering/Systems
Architecting - DRC provided multi-year systems
engineering support working with the Signal Intelligence
(SIGINT) Directorate (SID) Systems Engineering Office (SEO)
and the Unified cryptologic Architecture Office (UCAO),
and with several individual resource and monitoring
systems across the U.S. Cryptologic system. We conducted
analysis, defined and managed requirements, and
documented enterprise architecture and DoD Air Force
functionality and interoperability of the
systems-of-systems, across the Intel community. Our work
has provided the groundwork for a multi-year effort
that would combine the attributes of service-based
architecture, and both the Net-Centric Operations and
Warfare (NCOW) Reference Model and the DoD Global Information Grid (GIG).
-
Process Engineering and Business
Management (PEBM) - DRC supports many SIGINT
projects including DoD Acquisition Category I (ACATI)
programs as they transform the way they do business.
DRC's consultants are building a new technology
platform, tools, and processes using their expertise in
Enterprise Architecture Frameworks such as the DoD
C4ISR/AF and the Zachman Framework.
