Naval Operational Logistics Support Center (NOLSC)
Technical Support Services
Challenge
NOLSC needed a wide range of Information
Assurance (IA) services
for current and future systems and networks.
Solution
Software engineering support includes
insuring interoperability and compliance with NESI guidance
for net-ready standards; consistency with the implementation
of a publish-and-subscribe services oriented architecture
and engineering assistance in the development of secure
systems methodology.
We perform secure system
testing/modeling as C4I systems transition from layered
protection to true Multi-Level Security (MLS) systems, and
provide engineering assistance in developing security
systems. We provide engineering and security analysis
support for the use of devices such as Radiant Mercury as a
high assurance guard between different security levels;
software development support in creating a secure version of
the system; and systems engineering and integration support
for new INFOSEC technology and approaches, such as:
-
Secure LANs
-
Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
-
Secure operating systems
-
Secure databases
DRC staff provide security certification
and accreditation requirements in developing all system
engineering solutions, approaches, planning, and
documentation.
Benefits/Achievements
IA requirements of a complex network
centric system are successfully supported.
