MedTeams® Program

A teamwork training program that has

Originally developed for high-risk, high-intensity settings, MedTeams® is based on documented and tested human factors and crew resource management (CRM) principles. MedTeams® has delivered value to more than 100 hospitals and medical centers throughout the U.S.

The MedTeams® Model

The MedTeams® model relies on a train-the-trainer methodology so that each organization builds inherent capabilities to succeed. MedTeams® delivery includes three components:

  • Site Assessment: an on-site consultation to determine readiness for a teamwork training plan.

  • Implementation: develops the instructor cadre, delivers the teamwork training, and includes performance assessments and implementation consultations.

  • Sustainment: provides process improvements and analysis as well as refresher training to ensure that effective teamwork continues.

Enhanced teamwork skills mean that providers can deliver clinical services more safely and with better communication and coordination.

Continuous Process Improvement (CPI)

A key element of DRC's Integrated Solutions for Healthcare is its unparalleled ability to offer a full range of CPI methodologies that quickly enables any health care organization to achieve its desired standards of operational excellence and strategic performance goals. DRC's CPI Solutions are based on three founding principles. These principles permeate DRC's entire CPI approach and are a key reason why we have become a leading CPI provider to U.S. healthcare, government, military and industrial organizations.

Leadership Coaching/Mentoring

Add to that the prevalent lack of leadership training for many physicians in key leadership positions, and the need for coaching and mentoring of strong and effective leadership skills is apparent.

Medical Simulation

As simulation continues to expand into various fields and access to established centers or equipment improves.
