U.S. Army Medical Research Institute of Chemical

Challenge
The U.S. Army MRICD needed a state-of-the art IT
system for fee-based course registration.
Solution
DRC developed and implemented a secure
revenue collection system/platform for the Chemical
Causality Care division of MRICD; students may register for
training courses and pay, online, by government or private
credit card. This site uses a shopping cart and a credit
card processing gateway (authorize.net) to collect all
payments. The site uses SSL encryption to submit all
transactions to the payment gateway. Authorization of the
course fee is 'real time' with a user defined delayed
settlement, payments of course fees are made monthly to MRICD. The site provides user defined rules and includes an
administrator function for the site administrator to
maintain the course catalog, generate invoices and review
all the selected transactions.
Benefits/Achievements
Within weeks, DRC designed and built a
conference management website complete with credit card
transaction processing and provided a fully hosted and
managed solution. Paperwork was reduced to essentially zero,
costs were reduced, and paper processing errors were
eliminated. The system also provided a zero-error method of
checking in participants at the conference.
