C/KC-135 Technical Manual Support
Challenge
As the C/KC-135 Weapon System
transitions from hard copy text to electronic formats,
ensuring that the technical manuals are accurate, that the
transition method is effective, and that all aspects of the
technical manual program cost, schedule, and performance
measures are met is critical to the overall health of the
program. To achieve a timely and effective transition,
contractor assistance was required to provide support for
the cleanup, digital conversion and deployment of the
technical manuals.
Solution
The DRC Team will assist the 827 ACSG
Technical Order Management Agency (TOMA) to achieve the Air
Force Vision of having accurate, timely, and user friendly
technical manuals and to transition to new digital technical
manual production, storage and distribution concepts and
processes that are compatible with the overall Air Force
data architecture. As part of this effort, we will integrate
all facets of technical manual configuration and financial
control, production, distribution and management in order to
achieve the technical manual cleanup, digitization and
conversion. We will convert all C/KC-135 Technical Manuals
to Enhanced Technical Information Management System (ETIMS)
compatible formats. The DRC Team will develop and execute
production, storage and distribution concepts and processes
that are fully compatible with the evolving Air Force
architecture for digital technical data.

DRC has assembled a team of engineers
and technicians with the education and experience across
multiple disciplines able to successfully evaluate the
systems of the C/KC-135 for root cause failures and develop
and document second-to-none engineering solutions. This team
will facilitate aircraft mission success by providing
accurate, timely, and user friendly technical manuals that
aid the transition to new digital technical manual
production, storage and distribution concepts.
