DRC analyzes systems in development to
assess the maturity and affordability of their technologies
and the readiness of systems, subsystems and components
using metrics developed by DRC. We
provide support in industrial base policy and develop
manufacturing investment strategies for system affordability
and insertion of new technology through spiral development. These activities are directed in
near term insertions or demonstrations of producible
technology (1-3 years), with technology insertion roadmaps
into system developments. Areas include Electro-Optics,
Radar and RF technology, Materials and Structures, Image and
Signal Processing, Propulsion, Data Links, High-Power and
High-Throughput Electronics, Radiation Hardening of Systems,
and a variety of point design subsystems (Intermediate
Maintenance Units or IMUs, Radomes, Missile Canisters,
etc.).
