Versa Module Eurocard Global Positioning System
(VME-GPS) Receiver
DRC's VME GPS Receiver products' extremely flexible design
allows the integration
of any GPS receiver that complies with the NAVSTAR JPO performance
specification for SEM-E GPS Receivers:
CI-GRAM-500. This includes Selective Availability
Anti-Spoofing Module (SAASM) receivers from Rockwell
Collins, Inc. and Trimble Navigation Limited or from any SEM-E
GPS receiver provider.
These VME GPS receiver products are
powerful and versatile VME modules that provide robust GPS
solutions used for navigation and for hot starting the
embedded GPS receivers of Precision Guided Munitions (PGM).
DRC is experienced working with the NAVSTAR GPS Joint Program Office to satisfy
security
approval and authorization standards, policies, and
procedures.

VME-GEM
(Versa Module Eurocard GPS Embedded Module)
A single-slot VME GPS board provides military and
commercial users alike with a readily available pff-the-shelf GPS solution
to the exacting accuracies of both the military (SAASM PPS) and the
commercial (SPS) precision standards.

MVG
(Modified VME-GEM)
DRC expanded the capabilities of the VME-GEM to create
the MVG. The MVG combines a GPS receiver (SAASM PPS or SPS) with a
microprocessor. The MVG can be programmed to provide for the coordination
and translation of the communication protocol and message set used by the
GPS receiver and the host.

VME-NAV
(Versa Module Eurocard Navigation)
DRC integrated the GPS solution from the VME-GEM with
INS such as the Litton LN200 IMU to create a full navigation system – the
VME-NAV. The VME-GEM is combined with a Single Board Computer (SBC) and an
IMU interface board in a portable VME chassis, with the IMU installed
outside the VME chassis. The corrected 3D position, velocity, and altitude,
and the raw INS data including roll, pitch, and heading are made available
over the VMEbus.

VGBB
(VME-GEM Breakout Board)
The VGBB, a standard VME single-slot 6U form factor,
provides VME-GEM, MVG and VME-NAV users with easy access to all VME P2
lines; thus aiding in the testing and integration of their product. The VGBB
brings all VME P2 connector communication lines and discrete signals to a
96-pin DIN connector affixed on the board as well as the primary VME I/O and
discrete signals to the VGBB front panel connectors. The VGBB also supplies
backup power for our VME GPS products when main power is turned off, an
important feature for applications requiring uninterrupted power.

STIP (Serial Test Interface Program)
STIP is a Windows-based program designed for the testing
and monitoring of GPS receivers by way of serial communication between DRC's
VME GPS receiver products and a personal computer (PC).
