DTRA Strategic Workforce Planning
Challenge
The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA)
needed to develop strategic workforce plans across five
enterprises to achieve a more balanced workforce across the
enterprise.
Solution
DRC's approach was to:

Validate the mission and strategic
direction of the enterprise organizations

Conduct a Workforce Analysis task to
identify the most relevant demographic variables for
DTRA's workforce analysis and design a quantitative
workforce analytical model. The quantitative model is
being used to identify strategic elements and the gap
from existing organizational processes.

Develop an e-Leadership Competency
Model to provide a description of critical leadership
performance factors for senior management.
Benefits/Achievements
Our work identified the links between
organizational strategy and employee performance, addressed
the critical factors for success today and in the future,
linked DTRA's mission challenges and key initiatives to
performance expectations in critical or pivotal roles, and
created a common platform for defining, communicating and
managing performance.
