Air Operations Center Weapon System Help Desk (AOC WS
HD)
Challenge
The Air Force required a dedicated Help
Desk to resolve software and hardware integration problems
for all AOCs. The AOC Weapon System Help Desk (AOC WS HD) is
the focal point for problem resolution and the AOC’s primary
point of contact for problems that workgroup managers or
system administrators cannot resolve.
Solution
The AOC WS HD provides support 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week for approved AOC WS baseline systems
worldwide. DRC provides subject matter experts specializing
in database administration, system administration, and
network administration. The AOC WS HD supports 19 fixed and
deployable AOC facilities worldwide on a 24/7 basis. The
Tier 1 help desk serves as a repository of AOC systems
engineering baseline solutions.

The AOC now has a single point of
contact (the Weapon System Help Desk) to resolve problems
with the AOC Weapon System baseline.
