Navy HIV Management System (HMS)
Challenge
The Navy's HMS,
which supports clinical and patient management at field,
hospital and branch clinical locations worldwide and
processes approximately 10,000 patient records each day,
needed a broad range of IT infrastructure support.
Solution
DRC provides a web site, network and
database administration, system security, and other
information technology services to support and maintain the
HMS. Additionally, DRC ensures the interoperability of HMS
with the Navy's Composite Health Care System (CHCS) and SNAP
Automated Medical System (SAMS), as well as the Department
of Defense’s Theater Medicine Information Program (TMIP) and
Headquarter-level activities.
