U.S. Customs and Border Protection Multimedia Training

Challenge

U.S. Customs needed to improve the performance of pilots on the mission-specific equipment that Customs adds to their aircraft.

Solution

DRC is using our proven Instructional System Development processes to develop state-of-the art computer-based and web-based training for the pilots and crew members of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection. The training that DRC has developed has many advanced features including the emulation of equipment control panels and the replication of equipment display panels. A wide range of image types are directly incorporated into the training presentation and a variety of assessment techniques are used to evaluate students. The training has direct links to operator manuals so that the students can obtain more detailed factual information. The training can be delivered either by CD or via the Customs LAN.
